5-Ingredient Protein Bars

These super simple 5-ingredient protein bars are so quick to make and such a tasty snack. Sweetened with honey, filled with vanilla protein, and drizzled with chocolate, these bars are such a great (and somewhat nutritious) snack!

As I've mentioned before, I love snacking and when you do it a lot, it's good to find snacks that you love but are also pretty good for you. These protein bars have a good balance of protein, fats, carbs, and fibre. Most importantly, if you like Reese's, you will LOVE these.

This recipe is perfect for meal prepping on the weekend so you have a delicious snack or dessert to have throughout the week.

5-Ingredient Protein Bars

Servings: 10 bars
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cool time: 2 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup peanut butter, melted

  • 3/4 cup honey, melted

  • 2 1/4 cups oats

  • 1 cup protein powder (whatever you have!)

  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips, melted

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, melt the peanut butter and honey.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats and protein powder.

  3. Add the peanut butter and honey to the oats and protein powder and combine.

  4. In a 9x13 casserole dish, cover the bottom with parchment paper. Then, add the oat mixture. Using your hands, flatten and press the mixture to cover the bottom of the dish.

  5. In a small glass bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave. Warm them in 20-second increments, stirring after each time until no chips remain.

  6. Drizzle the chocolate over the top of the oat mixture.

  7. Place the bars in the freezer and let cool for 2 hours.

  8. Pull the bars out of the freezer. Taking the mixture out by the parchment paper, place on a cutting board and let sit for 5 minutes.

  9. Cut the bar mixture into bars and enjoy!

  10. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
