Amaretto Sour

What better way to add some sparkle to your holiday gathering than my amaretto sour?


As festive as it is delicious, this Amaretto Sour combines nutty amaretto with tangy citrus for the perfectly balanced sip.

Topped with a frothy layer of egg white and garnished with a dried orange slice, this cocktail is both elegant and approachable.

Amaretto Sour

  • 3 ounces amaretto

  • 2 ounces bourbon

  • 1 ounce orange juice

  • 1.5 ounces lemon juice

  • 2 egg whites

  • ice


Makes 2


Step 1: Add & Shake

In a cocktail shaker, add the amaretto, bourbon, orange juice, lemon juice, and egg white. Seal and shake for about 30 seconds to emulsify the egg whites. Then, add the ice and shake for at least 30 seconds or until the shaker becomes too cold to hold (this means it's done!).


Step 2: Strain & Garnish

Strain (or double strain with a sieve) the cocktail into 2 cocktail glasses. to garnish, add a dried citrus slice or an orange twist. Enjoy!
