Aperol Paloma

A fun summer twist on the traditional paloma, this Aperal Paloma isn't sweet, isn't bitter, and is exactly the refreshing drink you need in your hands this summer.

Regularly made with tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, agave syrup , a pinch of salt, and soda water, a paloma is a delicious and easy cocktail for the summer. This one is just that, with the citrusy twist of Aperol in the mix, because, well, I love adding Aperol into anything in the summer!

There is nothing like a refreshing drink after a warm summer day, especially enjoyed outside. If you're tired of the regular old canned coolers, then you have to try this Aperol Paloma out this summer!

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce tequila

  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup or agave syrup

  • 1 ounce Aperol

  • pinch of salt

  • ice

  • grapefruit soda

  • grapefruit slice, for garnish

Step 1: Let’s Get Started

In a cocktail shaker or a jar, add the tequila, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, Aperol, a pinch of salt and ice. Seal and shake with the ice until completely chilled, about 30 seconds.

Step 2: Garnish & Serve

Fill a tumbler glass with ice and strain the cocktail into the glass. Garnish with the grapefruit slice and top it off with grapefruit soda. Cheers!
