Maple Pear Gin & Tonic

Introducing a spiced holiday twist on a true classic - Maple Pear Gin & Tonic!


It's time to elevate your festive gatherings with a cocktail that combines rich maple, spiced cinnamon, ripe pears, and the timeless Gin & Tonic.


Whether you're hosting an intimate gathering or a lively group, this cocktail has the potential to be the star of the show, ushering in the warmth and cheer of the season with every sip. Cheers!


A small note before you make the recipe: if you don't have time to make pear compote or access to fresh pears, replace the compote with 2 ounces of pear juice and 2 teaspoons fo maple syrup for each drink. Okay, let's get into it!

 

Maple Pear Gin & Tonic

  • 1/4 cup pear compote

  • 1.5 ounces dry gin

  • ice

  • tonic water

  • pear wedge, for garnish

  • 1 sprig fresh thyme


How to Make Maple Pear Compote

In a small saucepan, add a cup of water, 1/4 cup of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 pear, chopped into slices or cubes. Bring to a boil at high heat, then bring down to medium heat to simmer for about 15 minutes or until mixture has turned into a syrup.


Step 1: Let’s Get Started


Add the maple pear compote, gin, and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Seal and shake until the mixture is completely chilled.


Step 2: Pour & Garnish

Strain the mixture into a tumbler glass over ice. If you don't like small chunks of pear in your drink, use an extra strainer when pour into the glasses. Top the drink off with tonic water and garnish with a pear wedge and thyme. Enjoy!
